Fish Mollee
Ingredients for 4 Servings:
3tbs. warm milk
2tps white wine vinegar
1 large onion – chopped
1 garlic clove – finely chopped
2 tbs mustard or sunflower oil
2 oz creaned coconut
1 1/2 lb white fish – skinned and boned
2 green chillies – chopped
salt
lemon juice
1/2 tsp ground ginger
1/2 tsp turmeric
2 black peppercorns
1/4 tsp saffron strands
Method:
Soak spices in warm mile and vinegar for 30 minutes. Fry onion and garlic until golden brown. Add spices and stir fry creamed coconut with a little water. When hot add fish with chillies and cook until fish is tender – 10/15 minutes. To keep sauce fluid add a little water. Add salt to taste. Sprinkle with lemon juice and serve. Ensure fully cooked before serving.
